A DIY Project from ashleyannphotography.com

I found this amazing website off of my friend Kirra's blog
I was immediately drawn into the website because of all the lovely colors
I found the DIY project section and began browsing
I found this project, it seemed easy enough so off to the craft store I went and 3o minutes later...
I had myself this pretty little candle
It was simple and fun and I think would be a great gift for the girl's out there.
Enjoy the pictures
and check out how the real pro (ashley) did it over on her website

Yes Please...I'll Take One of Those

As I was strolling the aisles of good 'ol Marshalls today (it is payday afterall)
I was walking through the candle section and I could hear my name being called
"Nicole...Nicole...Nicole"
To my suprise it was this sweet little candle
Pumpkin Cupcake
I snagged that baby up real quick and took her home and started buring her up!
Now I need to take a trip to the Kupcake Kitchen and get the real thing!
Mmm Mmm Mmm!

Book Reccomendations

I absolutley love reading. It is by far one of my favorite things to do. I only wish I read more often. Reading lets my imagination soar to new heights. My mom is part of a book club so I usually get her hand me down books. She lets me know what stories are good and which ones are so so. We have similar interests in books so it usually works out.

One of my favorite books is called The Glass Castle by Jeanette Walls. The story is a memoir of her life. I can not really emphasize how captivating the stories in this book are and to think they are real stories of her life growing up. It really opened up my eyes to how different people's life styles are. I read it and then reccomended it to my mom's bookclub and they loved it. I have read it twice and would not hesitate to read it again. It gets an A in my gradebook.

The second book I recommend is title MARY Mrs. A. Lincoln written by Janis Cooke Newman. The book is about Mary Todd Lincoln, President Abarham Lincoln's wife. Wowzer this book is intense to say the least! If you like history, you will like/love this book. This story is written about Mary Todd Lincoln, one of history's most misunderstood and enigmatic women. It is written as if she is sharing the story of her life through her own words. This book is like the all access behind the scences pass to Ab Lincoln's life and struggles along with Mary's. It is hefty in size 616 pages but it is a page turner! Its weird, quirky, educational, insightful, and captivating. This book earns an A++ in my gradebook Loved it.

Happy Reading.
